Cases of abandonment abound and although some animals manage to endure in one way or another the calamities that life on the street entails, there are others who experience a horrible time. The following is one of those stories that moves us to the depths of our guts.

It is about a dog rescued by a Samaritan woman when it seemed that there was nothing else to do for her. However, today she is safe.

As the woman mentioned before was on her way to work on a winter day, she was shocked to discove an abandoned dog on the icy pavement. She immediately approached to try to revive her but seeing that she did not react, her tears began to flow.

The woman cried as the dog laid motionlessly. She was ready to bury the poor pup when suddenly she surprised the woman with pitiful howls.

The woman immediately took the pup in her arms and drove her to the vet. Upon arrival at the office, the professional was stunned by the dog’s body temperature. His organs were failing and they feared he was going into a coma.

The furry one, who was baptized as Varya, underwent numerous examinations and discovered that she had a brain injury and also a pelvic fracture.

The case was not easy, so she needed to be transferred to a hospital with a specialized team to stabilize her. The little animal would need surgery on her pelvis but first they had to make sure that she resisted it, in that condition they could kot operate on it.

Doctors managed to wake Varya up after helping her survive with intravenous fluids, antibiotics, blood transfusions and painkillers.

The furry one spent several weeks under strict observation, until miraculously she managed to recover enough to be discharged.

Throughout the recovery process that she went through, Varya was monitored not only by the veterinary team, but also by Paw Rescue. This organization would be in charge of finding a suitable home for the dog.

This lady saved Varya’s life and became so fond of the creature that once she saw her recovered, she was not willing to abandon her. There is no doubt that the day she found her, her destiny had been left forever. If it had not been for the woman, this hairy would not have survived.
