The Severely Injured Dog Was So Terrified Of People That He Chose To Flee And Depart By Himself

Sundance is one of those dogs with a past marked by pain and tragedy. For a long time, he was immersed in a remarkable sadness; not only his body was in pain, his soul suffered too.

With slow steps, this helpless little dog wandered from one place to another looking for a quiet place to rest. The puppy was malnourished, agitated and with serious injuries to various parts of his body.

Unfortunately, many people passed around him but only fed their morbidity when they saw an injured puppy. Many would possibly take photos or videos of him, but they did not dare to touch him, much less give him the help he needed.

Perhaps a small group of people tried to help him, but his efforts were not constant. Sundance, afraid of people, always managed to escape. He was so scared that he would rather run away than be touched.

Luckily, Viktor Larhkill , who is an animal lover and rescuer, heard his story and encouraged his team to locate the puppy. Although the little furry was a bit distant at first, the rescuers were not about to give up.

After several minutes they gained his trust and managed to move him to a safe place. Sundance was very dirty, covered in fleas and ticks. He was so injured that there was no way he would survive on the streets for long.

The puppy was transferred to a veterinary clinic where several tests were carried out; his diagnosis was quite heartbreaking.

He had multiple open and bloody wounds, countless sores that covered part of his body, including the pads of his paws, which made walking very painful. All this made the poor dog take slow steps and limp most of the time.

Sundance needed a long treatment, now he was in the right hands with an incredible team that left their soul to heal not only her physical but emotional wounds.

They gave him a large amount of antibiotics to help relieve pain and heal his injuries. They also cut several locks of hair to clean the wounds well and heal faster. During the treatment, he received various medicinal baths to combat skin conditions.

Over time the puppy gained self-confidence.

After three long months it was giving surprising results. His wounds were bandaged , especially his legs that were so sensitive. As time passed, he revealed an incredible transformation.

As his wounds healed, he soon revealed his true canine demeanor, Sundance being much more affectionate with people.

His emotional and incredible story reminds us that we still have a lot to do.

The life of this adorable puppy changed completely! After completing his treatment, he was given up for adoption next to a family that shows him every day how important he is as a true member of the family.

Sundance now shares a home with other furry ones who have become his siblings. Together they fill with joy and unconditional love people who did not see different puppies but faithful companions willing to love.

If we want real change as a society, we must start by loving and respecting the most vulnerable. Stray dogs are part of our lives. Dare to help them and be the change you want to see.
