The uncontrolled tears of a heartbroken pit bull left by his family in a shelter is truly the most heartbreaking thing to see.
Doggies are living beings that bring joy to anyone’s life, and the place where they are truly happy is their home with their own. They will do anything to give their owners beautiful moments of tenderness and fidelity, that’s why when a puppy gets separated from its human parents, its heart is totally devastated.
When the animal comes to its end by natural causes, its owners will be left with an emptiness in their souls. But, sadly, other times, they decide to get rid of their pets without any serious apparent reason. They just get tired of them and abandon them to their fate.
Leaving a pet aside seems to be a more than common habit in some families without values, an act of cruelty against a creature that for years took care of everyone in the home and was the most faithful.
It is in these cases, when the animals do not understand what they did wrong to have been abandoned like this, and then they are left sad and even crying, disconsolate.
This is the story of a pitbull who cried non-stop because he didn’t understand why his family got rid of him. This little furry friend went through a bitter episode in his life.
Doggies are undoubtedly the most loyal of animals and more than one human has a lot to learn from them. That’s why we hope Blue King’s story helps to raise awareness.
This pit bull lived with his family in California (United States), but a change of city led these people to get rid of the poor animal.
In order not to leave him unprotected, the owners decided to take him to the local Carson Shelter, and leave with the hope that someone else would take care of the poor dog.
What seemed fine to his humans was a cause of sadness for this little dog.
The family left peacefully, but the same was not true for the sensitive Blue King, who could not understand how his parents had left him in that place full of strangers and had not come back for him. The dog didn’t know he had been abandoned.
Like most of the furry dogs that go through that experience, the pit bull showed his sadness and anguish from the very first moment but there was something that simply surprised all his caregivers, Blue King was so devastated that he couldn’t stop crying.
Real tears were pouring from his pitiful little eyes and it was inevitable not to feel sorry for him.
Although many furry dogs suffer in this life, few actually cry to show their sadness. Touched by his plight, the activists at Saving Carson Shelter Dogs decided to intervene.
The shelter where this furry dog was left uses the practice of culling to control the number of puppies on site, so it was feared that death would be Blue’s fate if he didn’t find a family soon.
Thanks to that Jennifer McKay found out about the case and traveled to the shelter to meet the animal, at first the matter was very difficult.
“He looked very sad and depressed. He wouldn’t even look at me. All the other dogs were making eye contact and wagging their tails, but he couldn’t get up. He couldn’t look at me. He was so sad,” Jennifer recalled.
The woman was smitten and wanted to take the puppy home, but first Blue had to pass a temperament test.
During the week-long process, Jennifer visited the dog to gain his trust, but it seemed that the dog just wanted to see his old family.
“You could tell that every time someone walked by, it was like he was looking for them. It’s like he knew they had left him there,” she said.
When the shelter gave permission for Jennifer to take Blue King, she was amazed at how radically the animal changed.
As soon as they opened his cage, he was grateful to the human who had decided to become his new mother.
This was a new beginning and Blue seemed to understand it very well.
At that moment the little dog made a radical change and all his sadness was transformed into lots and lots of love and energy, as Blue turned out to be quite playful.
“He kind of fooled me. I was expecting to have a relaxed and calm dog, but as soon as the kennel doors opened, he was very excited. And he loved riding in the car. He wanted to stick his head out the window,” McKay described while laughing.
Fortunately, Blue didn’t have to spend much time at the shelter but enough time to show how heartbroken he was by his family’s abandonment.
His story had a heartwarming ending and although it happened a couple of years ago, his tears and suffering still live on in the faces of other furry dogs going through a similar situation today.
May this touching story serve as a reminder that animals are not an object.
