On His Way To Work, Man Finds A Puppy Shivering With Cold And Fear Under A Bridge

In this world there are people with evil intentions who are capable of carrying out the worst actions. Unfortunately, many innocent animals end up falling victim to these things and the lucky ones live to let their stories be told.

This is what happened in the American town of Griffith, Indiana, where it seemed fate tied a man named Bob Hoelter with a puppy that needed him more than anyone else that day.

Bob works at a shop in town 3 km from his home. Although he usually drives to work, the night before he decided he needed to exercise so he thought of walking to work the next day.

As Bob crossed a bridge, he was startled by some very sad cries that seemed to come from under the bridge. He looked towards the land and into the water, but he saw nothing and he had no choice but to go down the bridge to try to find that desperate creature.

Nearby was a large sewer and Bob thought that this could be the source of those moans. Without knowing what was waiting for him, he crouched down and with his hands tried to grab whatever was needing his help.

Shocked, he found a dog that was shivering with cold and fear. The horrifying thing was that its muzzle was wrapped with adhesive tape for electrical wiring. Bob knew he had to act quickly and remembered that Griffith Animal Hospital was not far from the scene.

Bob walked fastly through the doors of the clinic with the puppy in his hands. Lori Kovacich, who was the manager of the enclosure, looked at him in terror and in a matter of seconds took the dog from his hands to hand it over to the team of veterinarians.

In the commotion, Lori forgot to ask Bob for his name and phone number, and Bob, seeing that everything seemed under control, continued on his way to work.

Luckily, the vets managed to help the poor puppy of only four months.

Meanwhile, the vets were taking care of the pup who looked completely emaciated and had badly damaged skin under the tape. The team estimated that the pup had been living with the duct tape sealing its muzzle for several days. However, there was still a long way to go.

After the team managed to remove the duct tape from the pup’s muzzle, they gave him cream and antibiotic injections and provided him with a bed. Once this was done, the veterinarians found that the puppy had a broken leg and would require surgery. Perhaps someone tried to throw the dog into the water, but it ended up landing on the ground.

A short time later, the dog found a family to adopt. Lori wrote a Facebook post telling the puppy’s story, which served to draw the attention of Mary Witting and her husband, who are regulars at the clinic and had recently lost their former pet.

The Wittings family came to see the puppy soon after, decided to adopt it and name it Louie. But the pleasant surprises were not over.

Thanks to Lori’s publication, Bob was reunited with Louie and he recognized his hero with great emotion.
