Ill Dog With Serious Skin Infection Shouts In Pain In Order To Get Out Of Cardboard Box She Was Abandoned In

There are numerous abandoned puppies that lead to miserable and painful lives, not only because of all that they have to endure on the streets but also because they carry the scars of a past life. Sadly, they have never known a gesture of love.

Luckily, there are organizations working every day to rescue and help as many homeless animals as possible. The rescue team is located in Cartagena, Colombia.

Manejo de Fauna Callejera is one of the most vulnerable puppy health organizations which rescued a completely frail and seriously ill fluffy girl. Her former owners abandoned it in a landfill as if she was junk.

The poor dog was discovered in a cardboard box. Her health condition was so critical that the she was not able to move. She had probably been in that box for a few days. How sad!

Locked up and without the strength to go out and ask for help, she deteriorated so much that she was on the verge of death. Rescuers did not hesitate to respond to the anonymous call to help the defenseless dog, which they later decided to name Carbonella.

Her skin was dry and full of mites. It did not take long for the vets to realize the critical condition Carbonella was in. Not only did she have severe malnutrition, but her little body was covered in open wounds that caused her great pain.

Carbonella also had what is known as scalded skin syndrome. As if that was not enough, she also had severe mange, which caused her to lose much of her fur.

Her situation was very delicate, but at least she was in good hands. Her rescuers were determined to accompany her through the long recovery process.

For the staff of the veterinary clinic who was treating her, the most difficult thing was to heal her skin. Much of it was scabbed and she also had a staphylococcal infection, a disease that directly invades tissues and causes skin infections.

Carbonella had to undergo multiple tests, the treatment was long but she managed to emerge victorious. Although she had experienced a cruel past, her present is filled with the purest love. Despite all the pain she wallowed in, she has remained a kind and playful dog to all those around her.

Her incredible transformation stirs our hearts with joy. Recently, she really loves sleeping in her clean bed and playing with other puppies.

Her recovery was spent at the local rescue center, she was eventually adopted and is now enjoying the comforts of a real home where she is extremely happy.
