A courageous woman intervenes to save a dog that was abandoned and fastened to a window.

The dog is a living being that requires our care and attention, that demands and needs our affection, understanding and respect, that needs to play, interact with us and be free almost as much as it needs to feed itself in order to survive.

The story of Hope, the beautiful Saint Bernard dog is one that we would like not to have to review but that, unfortunately and contrary to our wishes, is more common than is believed. The disheartened dog was found tied up and isolated by a neighbor of Villa María del Triunfo, in Lima, the capital of Peru .

When the woman identified as Allison arrived on the scene , she was able to observe with horror the furry girl who was tied to a window with a thick chain around her neck , totally left to her own devices by the one who, instead of taking care of her, in instead he turned his back. Later it was learned that the animal had been in the same situation for a whole year .

Fortunately, his rescuer was there at the right time and at the right time. Today, she helps her start a new life, and has even reported the case to the police . However, this was only the beginning of a long process to get the authorities to finally intervene in favor of the little animal.

“How insensitive can people be to leave this creature alone and in those conditions, previously some neighbors have reported the case, but they have done nothing. As you can see the dog is still in that house to this day ,” Alisson wrote in a post moments before saving the troubled pet.

The worst of the fact is that, due to the malnutrition to which she was exposed, this poor and innocent canine today has 25 kilograms less than her ideal weight. She also suffers from anemia, otitis, dermatitis and has various lacerations all over her body. For her part, the noble Alisson left her contacts for those who want to support Hope in her rehabilitation .

“It fills me with impotence not being able to do anything and standing idly by watching how this poor animal suffers,” he added.

The culprit of this reprehensible and heinous act has not yet been identified, for which he remains unpunished until now. However, the most important thing is that, thanks to the pressure exerted and the empathy that the case has unleashed on social networks, everything changed for Hope , who is now in the process of recovering from her.

“Hope is now clean and dewormed thanks to the veterinarian Mar de Colas, but she has long treatments to follow for a complete recovery. I want to thank all the people who helped me spread the video. I thank God and the people who were able to help with the case,” Alisson wrote.

Fortunately, Hope will not have to suffer again from the unhealthy and unworthy attitudes, as well as the negligence of certain people.
