Abandoned Dog Laying Motionless In A Cold Ditch For Days

This is Azucena! This poor dog was lying in plain sight in the middle of the road. It is a mystery that human cruelty has reached this level.

“This case moved me to tears. It broke my heart to see her lying in the gutter under the hot sun. She was sleeping in the gutter because there was no place to sleep,” says the Abrigo Au family volunteer who found her.

Her body was rough and her skin was inflamed. She was scared and ran away, but the warmth of a friendly volunteer stopped her. She was so surprised. So many shops, so many people passing by. No one stopped to help her.

“I feel so helpless in the face of such indifference, cruelty, neglect, lack of money. Even so, I couldn’t find the courage to go ahead and leave her alone.” the volunteer explained.

The staff think she will recover. Gladly, the dog responded. They promised she would no longer be hungry, sleep outside, and no longer stay in the rain. She was given the name Azucena.

Just after 20 days Azucena made a great progress. She began to stand on her feet by herself. She was also having greater meals and gained a considerable weight. More than a month later, Azucena has changed in a wonderful way and deserves to start a new happy life.
