Flatbush Cats is an organization focused on reducing the outdoor cat population in Brooklyn, New York.
There are over 500,000 cats on the streets of New York City and Flatbush Cats focus on trap, neuter and return training (TNR), mentoring and educating people in this process and of course cat rescue and adoption.
A responsible man contacted them about a little kitten they had seen all alone with her eyes all gunked shut and had appeared not to have eaten for days.
So they rescued her and tried to clean out her eyes with sterile gauze and warm water.
She also had an upper respiratory infection that was making it difficult to feed her, but they managed to give her some nourishment with the aid of a syringe.
Then it was time for a much needed bath to help remove the fleas – something they give to all the kittens that come into their care.
They named her Aria and as you will see, gave her all the care and attention she needed to get her ready for adoption.
The dedication of all the people at Flatbush cats is overwhelming. If you would like to find out more about this organisation or leave them on donation, you can do so HERE .
