Abused Dog Used As Object During Fighting Feels Finally Safe In His Rescuer’s Arms

Nowadays, awareness of animal rights seems to have flourished. However, the way forward to prevent abuse against these creatures is indeed vast. Despite the various campaigns and the great efforts of independent organizations and animal advocates, practices like dog fighting remain valid.

Although dog fighting is illegal in much of the United States, it is no secret that it continues to occur. Behind them is an entire mafias profiting from the pain of dogs. Sadly, many people prefer to stay silent before engaging in conflicts of this kind.

An unnamed man took the courage and reported the presence of an abused puppy in his neighborhood revealing his suspicions that it was used as bait in dog fights. The Stray Rescue Team of St. Louis immediately tracked down the creature.

In fact, the animal was in the exact place the man indicated, but the sight that the rescuers found broke their hearts. The poor live among the ruins, surrounded by garbage, excrement and rodents.

At first, the dog appeared quite scared but obedient. Not reacting violently to strangers, he seemed to beg them not to hurt him, his rescuers were immediately moved by the situation.

The poor puppy had obvious signs of abuse he has been a victim of, his face and body injured. He was terribly bitten and scratched in different areas, and his eyes were in a bad condition.

But despite all the pain he had endured and the fear that intoxicated his body, this generous little soul decided to trust and minutes after meeting his rescuers he knew they were going to change his life.

In the most moving way, the poor living being approached the volunteer, lowered his face and snuggled into her arms;

The rescuers have witnessed many really sad scenes but with this furry they were heartbroken before his nobility, he knew they were going to save him.

“He just buried his face in our arms on his journey to freedom. The idea of someone treating him badly makes us cry. This angel needs us. We are so grateful to callers for taking action,” Stray Rescue of St. Louis wrote in a Facebook post.

They will do everything they can because now, the pain and suffering is just a part of the past, and the dog has recovered from his injuries to start a new life with his loving owner.
