Being Neglected By Her Previous Family, Puppy Wanders The Street Carrying A Serious Skin Disease

All the canines that wander the streets may have been lost for a long time and living on their own and fending for themselves. That can explain a dog’s dirty, matted or thin appearance. A dog may also have a medical condition that could explain weight loss or skin issues. Instead of being afraid of it, you can choose to gradually approach to it in order to give the help needed.

When Terra was first rescued, she had almost no hair and seemed very frightened. Her hair loss was the result of a possible skin condition that was neglected by her previous family. Sadly, she was not capable of understanding what unconditional love is.

Fortunately, a kind vet from West Sussex, UK decided to help Terra in her recovery. The poor dog had a lot of work to do to recover. Despite the skin issues, there is something irresistible about this dog’s gaze.

Terra lost most of her coat due to scabies. Scabies is a chronic and painful skin disease caused by ticks. Animals that suffer from scabies are usually hairless and their skin is covered with wounds.

Jessie DeFreitas, a veterinary assistant, fell in love with Terra because of her beautiful eyes with such a deep look. She knew that her skin ailments were the result of passing through the hands of a careless and unscrupulous family.

At home, Jessie already had four cats and a rescue dog, but she knows she can make room for Terra, too. After all, if the puppy had not been delivered to the vet, she probably would have not survived.

First, Jessie asked to raise the pup. Terra needed constant attention, so she was willing to provide her with a safe and loving home. When Terra prospered, all her beauty began to emerge.

At the time, she was named Honey, but that name did not suit her well. This was because, at first, Terra was very irritable and she did not play at all. It certainly did not seem sweet like honey at the very beginning , so her name was changed to Terra.

Over time, as Terra was cured of her scabies, she became more loving. Eventually, all of her hair grew back and she ended up with a beautiful brown and white coat. She also became much kinder and sweeter than she was before.

Jessie already has a lot of animals to take care of, but she is glad she opened up to Terra, too. Veterinary assistants love animals and cannot turn down a puppy in need. Although she initially only raised Terra, she decided to adopt her permanently. Thanks to Jessie’s kind heart, Terra is now happy and healthy, despite everything she went through as a puppy.

With love and will, Terra has had an amazing transformation!

Fortunately, Terra wrote her way to a happy ending. However, not all puppies who are victims of abandonment have the same luck and you have to fight for it. They deserve the best!
