To make gestures of love we only need to have the best disposition, after all, we never know the exact moment in which our actions can end up saving a defenseless animal.
Fortunately, there are more and more people who dare to make a difference and completely transform the life of a vulnerable furry.
A little over a year ago, Nur Hamizah Had decided to give a kitten who was on the verge of death a second chance. The feline was found under her car, she was white, with very little fur, her tail and face were badly injured.
At the time she was rescued, she weighed just over a pound.
She was covered in sores and very dirty. The tiny kitten looked like a small lump of skin and bones. No doubt, she needed help.
She had severe injuries to her face.
Happily, she came across a kind-hearted person who far from running her off her property, could not take her eyes off her. Hamizah Had was willing to do what she could to help the kitten. In this regard she said:
“She looked so bad, with her eyes she was begging me to help her. I was so touched the first time I saw her. I said to myself, ‘If she can survive, I will take care of her and love her as much as I can.”
The kitten’s health condition was very delicate. She seemed to have everything against her, she appeared too sick to survive. However, through her bright eyes she conveyed an incredible strength.
It was then that Hamizah realized that she would not leave her alone, she took a cardboard box and placed it in front of the kitten. Incredibly, she walked in and plopped down on the box.
Despite her poor condition the kitten was determined to survive.
Her rescuer decided to name the kitten Meimei, and the next day took her to the vet where she received emergency care.
She was extremely thin, weighing only 1 kilo 800 grams, the sores that covered her body were open so she needed special treatment, she also had other skin problems.
All her fur was removed and her wounds healed.
She needed special care in order to survive. Hamizah learned to make some cures, with her care and love Meimei would manage to survive.
Little by little her dying appearance was left behind, her fur began to grow, she looked healthy and strong. Although she began to look visibly beautiful to the eyes of others Hamizah saw the beauty inside her from the first day.
She is now a fluffy, cuddly ball of fur.
After five months, she completely transformed from a dirty stray kitten to a fluffy, healthy furball. Today she loves her life in her new home. Hamizah commented on this:
“She likes to eat, she likes to sleep, she likes to play in my house. But if she sees someone she doesn’t know, she will definitely run and hide.”
Hamizah Had is happy to have helped a stray kitten. Her actions strongly prove that any stray can become a beautiful furry with a little love.
