Couple Notices A Harmed Dog Under A Blanket, Left On Roadside

This story is not an easy one to tell. It does end happily.

However, the dog goes through quite a bit to get there. To start with, a man and woman were driving down a busy road when they saw a figure lying on the shoulder of it. They pulled over immediately.

Sadly, there was an injured dog. Someone had left him there with a serious head wound and a badly fractured leg. As if they were remorseful, they placed his head on a cardboard box and covered him with a blanket. The couple was mortified.

They loaded him carefully into their vehicle and drove straight to a vet clinic. The dog was struggling. He was in a lot of pain. The woman sat with him and spoke softly to him as she waited for his pain medication to kick in.

As soon as they arrived, the vet cleaned his head wound and then scheduled him for surgery. It was inevitable. His leg needed his immediate attention. If no medical interjection did occur, the pup may never walk again.

The dog, despite all he had been through, was so sweet and patient. He held nothing against humans even though he was treated so unfairly. Dog was prepared for surgery.

Once he woke up from surgery, the vet gave the couple the good news! He did absolutely great. His recovery would be long and it is still ongoing but everyone is confident that he will live a full and happy life.

The couple decided to adopt him and they are currently doing all they can to pay for his hefty vet bills. They are still thinking of a beautiful name.
