A poor dog named Emily was locked in an empty, filthy cage. The location is on a meat dog farm in South Korea.
On a very hot day in July, rescuers from the Humane Society of the United States came to the meat yard and saw her. Emily was in a terrible state. She has been isolated from the world. Her paws are raw and swollen, and it is very painful to stand on the wire floor. Emily has only little hair and suffers from severe mange.
“These farms aren’t happy pictures. These are animals that are suffering prior to being killed for their meat,” said LCHS Executive Director Lisa Glunt.
Unfortunately they have never been treated and will only get worse. Emily lived a bad life, but since she was released, the situation has only gotten worse. Fortunately, rescuers need to rescue her in time to save her from this nightmare.
They are also ready to rescue all the 130+ dogs in this butchery with Emily! Emily was brought to the animal hospital, where was examined and treated. Today, she looks like a completely different dog. Her transformation is simply jaw-dropping!
She received treatment for her mange and her hair began to grow in beautifully. She lives in the United States of Florida with her new family and enjoys every moment of it. Emily features a big backyard to frolic in. Luckly never have to worry about being confined to a cage ever again.
She is also making new dog friends and is extremely friendly and sweet. Thanks to the HSUS, Emily finally gets to feel what it’s wish to love and be loved. She sleeps on a warm bed, eats real food, and plays with real toys. Every dog is worthy of measuring life like this!
