Dog Escaped From Being Chained, But Can’t Even Walk

The story of the lovely Buba who is forgotten by the world.

Buba was probably a chain dog that, due to the negligence and indifference of its “owners”, broke free from its chains and ran away from its captors. After many days of wandering, an exhausted dog of the Tatra Sheepdog type fell asleep on a roadside construction site.

When construction workers found her, they feared the worst. The construction workers who informed us about the situation, at first thought that the dog was dead! Buba didn’t have the strength to get up, emaciated with mud on her knees.

Unable to get back up, it was clear she needed urgent help. They called in Polish rescue group OTOZ Animals, who took her into their care immediately. When the rescuers arrived, they could see that Buba was in a very bad way.

They believe she had most likely been kept chained up somewhere. Under all the matting, they discovered she was actually a Tetra Sheepdog, often used as a watchdog in Poland. Strong, quiet and gentle dogs, poor Buba was a shadow of her former self.

Under the rescue’s care, Buba has taken huge steps in her recovery, gaining strength day by day. Currently, Buba is a completely different dog! Thanks to the help of our specialists, the dog
slowly regains the strength lost in wandering.

Despite the trauma that the dog, Buba, experienced she is full of puppy joy! He is a very cheerful and trusting dog. We are very proud of the progress, what our student does! Every day we see him opening up more and more to the world.
