Dog Found Drowning In The River After Owner Tied A Heavy Stone On Her Leash So She Could Die Slowly

When we hear stories of little animals that are victims of man, we can’t help but think that some people are inhabited by a little monster that leads them to carry out certain actions. Unfortunately, the animals are the target of these ruthless people, who without any remorse harm the furry ones.

The incident occurred in a community in Farndon, UK.

Our protagonist is a cute little dog who almost drowned after being thrown by some people who tied a heavy stone on her leash so that she would die slowly. Luckily, she was spotted in time by a woman passing near the Long Lane River who saw the dog struggling to breathe.

Without thinking, she ran out and pulled the shivering dog out of the river, then contacted Nottinghamshire Police.

The police department said in a statement that the dog had been found with a transparent bag with a large rock tied to its back. The officer in charge comments on this:

“We are lucky that the kind member of the public found and rescued her. The pup is still pretty unwell, but she has been showing some encouraging signs when eating, so hopefully she will recover.”

The same day of the rescue, the police opened an investigation to locate those responsible for such a terrible act, it did not take long to find the suspects, a 32-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman are involved , both will be sentenced with the crimes of animal cruelty.

Thanks to the microchip they were able to know her name.

After performing some tests they managed to discover that the dog had a microchip, which is called Bella. The sweet dog is still under observation and being cared for by a local veterinarian, she has gone through a difficult trauma so it is necessary for her to be under constant observation.

The police emphasize that although they have two suspects in custody, the investigation is still ongoing , for which they thank the public for any information they have to clarify the case.

Her caregivers comment that Bella is receiving all the medical attention she needs, they plan to find this sweet dog a home soon. We are sure that she will soon find a home where she will be treated with all the love she deserves.
