Dog Gets Shot In The Head Trying To Save His Owner’s Life And Then Suddenly Finds Himself Without A Place To Live

We will never get tired of recognizing the merits of four-legged heroes who know how to become angels to protect and help us in any emergency. This is one of those stories that thanks to Kiko, whose owner is now alive to tell what happened.

This dog saved his owner from a break-in when a man posing as a UPS delivery man tried to break into his home in Staten Island, New York. Kiko tries to stop him but gets shot in the head. Fortunately, the bullet tore through his skull and he was able to recover.

Kiko’s owner has faced extremely difficult moments when, for reasons beyond his control, he had to move and was unable to carry his dog.

So this hero was left home, until animal protector Mighty Mutts found out about Kiko’s situation and transferred him to the care center and they noticed that he was very confused, he seemed to be looking for his master.

Mighty Mutts volunteer Jill Haynes said they initially thought he was shy but quickly realized Kiko was completely deaf.

It is impossible to tell if it is a genetic condition or if it is the result of a bullet hit he received, but referring to a diagnosis, a great connection to Kiko can be achieved through touching.

They had been looking for a home for Kiko for a long time. He is very charming, even with his deafness, he is struggling to form a relationship with someone who will love him forever, he is fourteen years old and prefers a home with no other animals.

During the selection process, they have to visit the family home, so they will have to live up to three hours away from New York, hopefully they can access any area but can only move to the area.

UPDATE: A few weeks after this case was displayed on social networks, a couple contacted Mighty Mutts Adoption Center to adopt Kiko! Needless to say, Kiko is beaming with happiness with her new family.

Although it is really sad that his previous owner, who returned the gift of saving his life, was unable to keep Kiko, we are happy that his fate has now completely changed. It is nice to know that this hero will be able to enjoy a family filled with the love and affection he deserves.
