Dog With Serious Skin Infection Was On The Verge Of Death Until Rescuers Gave Her A Glimpse Of Hope

Animal Aid is one of the rescue groups that earns our admiration and respect for the incredible work they do. One of the cases they have undertaken was a helpless puppy that had already lost hope of living a decent life. The team arrived on the scene after receiving an anonymous call about a puppy in poor condition.

Despite being warned when they arrived at the rescue site, the puppy’s situation far exceeded anything they could have imagined. The puppy was completely covered in scales. Instead of skin, there were only welts on a body tired of fighting.

It is not known how long he must have been in that situation, but his rescuers assure that he suffered for a long time due to the critical condition in which he was.

One of the rescuers knelt down and made the first gesture of love, a little food that was surely the first in a long time.

The man gently picks it up with a blanket from the dirt floor and carries it to the sanctuary. There he received all the attention he deserved. He had finally left behind that place where he almost succumbed to solitude.

Once at the rescue center he was examined by veterinarians , the puppy seemed not to understand everything that was happening, he did not think he was receiving so much attention. One of his caretakers commented:

“It was as if he felt unworthy of being cared for. His spirit and heart were broken, his head hung, filled with sadness. It was time to change his life for the better.

Very carefully they removed the dry skin.

On further examination they found that scabies had caused secondary skin infections. Her body was cracked and bleeding in some areas, without a doubt, she was submerged in pain.

The puppy needed special care, to help him improve, they inserted an intravenous line with which he was given several antibiotics to calm the pain. The pup also received topical treatment to soften the scales.

With a lot of patience and infinite love, the puppy was making big changes . Although his mood was still low, his caregivers became his new friends and gradually managed to cheer him up.

To everyone’s happiness, the puppy raised his head and with it his desire to live. The incredible transformation of the puppy who was later named Ramu left all her caregivers with their hearts fluttering with joy.

His sad look remains in the past, now he is a healthy and happy puppy. All of his keepers enjoy watching him run around the sanctuary.

All it took was a gesture of love and a lot of patience to change the life of a puppy who had little strength to continue life.
