Unluckily, many puppies have to survive the day with what the streets bring to them, puppies in street conditions not only face abuse and neglect by some, but suffer the pain of being treated unfairly by their former owners or for an injury made worse by a lack of prompt medical care. Yuki is a stray puppy that wanders the streets after being abandoned by her owner.
Her health was so poor, she had a severe case of a stroke that made her look like a dry stone or a worn-out carpet.
In this view, no one dares comfort her , so the defenseless puppy is far from knowing what a real friendly stroke is. Fortunately, a rescue team found her and she was quickly transported to the nearest veterinary center. The vet was amazed at what he saw, he had never seen such a sophisticated case before.
The puppy weighted only 19 kg. Not only was the puppy skinned, the puppy also looked like a small bone, must have weighed at least 30 kg, malnourished and hungry. There is certainly more work to be done to save the helpless little dog.
They did a blood test to determine if she had the bacteria. After performing a series of tests, the vet determined that Yuki tested positive for Ehrlichiosis, a tick-borne disease that is deadly in puppies.
She received a prolonged course of antibiotics and pain relievers to combat the battery. It is necessary to remove dead skin layers to make room for new tissue and change her appearance.
Luckily Yuki’s pain was minimal, she always had the support of the volunteers who were attentive to her treatment and diet. Over time, the helpless puppy gained weight. Her evolution was slow but satisfactory, after a few weeks she was already in a foster home.
The dog was so excited in her new home that she lay down fully in her bed and ate carefree twice a day, something we sometimes take for granted but many doggies do not have.
Yuki found that she loves traveling by car, she happily jumped in the car when she was transferred from her foster home in Mexico to a new foster home in California. Still waiting for a permanent home.
Her new foster mother comments that Yuki is very well behaved and loves to play. We are sure that it is only a matter of time before she finds a forever home, luckily, many adopters are interested in taking her home.
Thanks to everyone who made her transformation possible. Yuki has shown us that no matter how broken we seem, we always want to be loved.
