Dumped In An Abandoned Property, Pit Bull Had Little Strength Left To Overcome Death

A white pit bull was eventually rescued from a house where he was experiencing various calamities.

A two-year-old puppy was rescued from a house in Betim, in the Metropolitan Region of Belo Horizonte (Brazil). The poor animal that had a sad and lost vision was lying on the ground with no strength left, as if waiting for his final end to come.

The poor dog weighed less than half his age, but now his nightmare is over, thanks to the tireless work of a much-loved rescue team in Brazil.

The pit bull weighed only 12 kilos, when the normal weight of an animal of that breed and age should be around 30. In addition to the negligent feeding, the furry one was the target of different ill-treatment. This situation led one of the neighbors to decide to denounce what was happening on the property.

Faced with so many unfair treatments against animals, the least we can do is help them. For this reason, the rescue brigade of the Betim Animal Protection Superintendency (SEPA), together with the Municipal Guard, acted rapidly.

The Samaritan who was concerned about the pit bull not only denounced his case, but also wanted to intervene by his own means to help him.

“We received information that there was a very skinny dog in the house that could not get up to eat. A neighbor jumped over the wall, put food in and the animal ate lying down,” explains Roberta Cabral, from Sepa.

Apparently, what was behind the furry’s so much suffering was a case of gross negligence since no one lived on the property. This is how Luís Felipe García explained it, who is also part of the Adote Pitbull Project:

“What happened is that the owner of the animal is not the owner of the property. The house was empty, a person was put there to take care of the property. However, she went there, put the dog in, fed him for the first few days and then she never came back.”

Luckily the puppy fell into good hands and in just weeks he has recovered from those bitter days he had to live. The project volunteers have been in charge of watching over him, feeding him and above all filling him with lots of love.

The positive thing about this case is that despite the bad experience suffered by the puppy they now call Galego, it turned out to be quite friendly.

In a post on their Instagram account, SEPA reported on the recovery of this pitbull and his change is indisputable.

“Today we come here to show our before and after of Galego, who was tied to a post with signs of mistreatment , in addition to being malnourished and anemic, he was sent to our kennel.

Galego received a lot of love and affection as well as getting a new home! And today it is there, to show that together we are stronger!” they wrote.

In cooperation with the Adota Pitbull Project, these people are working hard to completely rehabilitate the noble animal and find him a responsible and loving family. No doubt this friend now has the life he always deserved to live, his caregivers love him as if they were his true family.

Thanks to those anonymous heroes who turn the screw on the fate of so many defenseless animals like this little dog.
