Furless Stray Dog Found Locked In A Cage

Lightshine Canine came across a hairless, stray puppy. They immediately took her in.

They could not tell what age the dog was nor what breed because of its lack of fur. The rescue team could see that her skin was raw and red.

They’ve seen this situation enough to know that they knew she was suffering from chronic mange and other skin infections. Dog was also weak from starvation that she could barely move when they tried to feed her.

They began treating Mikita’s mange and eventually, her fur began to grow back. Because of this they found out that Mikita is a husky and that’s when Mikita met her human. Jessi Sova was searching for a new puppy to give her own rescue, Kane, a new friend.

She wasted no time applying to adopt Mikita and set up a meet. Kane came with Jessi when they initially met Mikita. Both dog and human fell in love with Mikita’s sweet disposition and that sealed the deal. But Mikita’s struggles were far from over.

Her true pain goes deeper than her lack of fur aside from her chronic mange and skin infections. Once Mikita finally got adopted by Jessi, they found out that she has discospondylitis. At first, they thought Mikita needed surgery but the vets assured them that Mikita will fully recover once she goes through a rigorous antibiotic treatment.

Jessi raised money to cover Mikita’s bills and any money they had leftover was donated to several charities and causes. They only found out that Mikita was in horrible pain after she woke Jessi one night, crying.

Mikita usually wakes Jessi up at night when she needs anything but her cries that night were excruciating. Mikita couldn’t move her legs to stand up and they rushed her to the hospital. After big doses of successful treatments, Mikita is now in her truest form.

She’s free to snooze and cuddle beside her brother, Kane. They hold each other’s paws to make sure the other is safe and well.

Once Mikita fully recovered from her discospondylitis, all of her furs grew back. Although she cannot bend her back too much, that does not stop her from playing with Kane a whole lot more.
