Hairless, Dehydrated And Malnourished- Dog Could Hardly Escape Death

Many living beings are destined to experience struggleful and unwanted challenges. Unfortunately, not everyone is lucky enough to grow up in a home that keeps an eye on their happiness. In their desperation, some sought to flee from the unjust and cruel treatment they feared. However, many were left alone and defenseless as they tried to survive on the streets.

The fate of a bare-headed, unkempt puppy can be truly uncertain. There are many people who, seeing their appearance, overlook and despise them, not even giving them the opportunity to be touched and transformed by love. Elliot is one of those dogs, for a long time he wandered from place to place, his health was critical, he used to hide under cars, but one day everything changed for him.

A hairless and distressed puppy is rescued in Tijuana, Mexico.

Karla Solís was the woman who gave him all the help he needed expecting nothing in return. The little dog was bald, hungry and trembled with fear. It was evident that he did not like contact with people, understandably, his past had marked him.

However, Solís was not willing to give up, after several attempts she managed to gain his trust and make eye contact with the puppy. After several minutes, Eliot gave in to the arms of her rescuer.

Eliot is about five years old. First, his condition was truly unfortunate, with a naked eye it was obvious that he had multiple skin infections. Solís decided to transfer him to a vet where he was diagnosed with severe mange and Ehrlichia, a tick-borne disease.

His bones were very noticeable, due to the serious state of malnutrition in which he was. His delicate condition urgently deserved a foster home next to people who would care for him and comply with his treatment to the letter.

That is when Solís contacted Becky Moder, an activist who transports vulnerable animals from Mexico to shelters in the United States. Eliot’s treatment was quite expensive, so Becky had to use part of her savings to pay for medical fees.

Fortunately, the puppy gradually healed and was sent to the United States where the adoption process began. Finally, he would manage to be part of a family that would give him all the love and responsible care that he had deserved for so long.

In the United States, he would complete his treatment and be part of a family.

It did not take long for the sweet Eliot to win the hearts of a couple who were looking for an older, calm and very sweet little dog. Kim Forest and her boyfriend saw him at The Barking Lot Rescue, a local animal rescue in El Cajon, California.

Eliot was the perfect little dog for them. Gone was that timid little dog who trembled in fear, embarrassed by his unkempt appearance under a car. Now he is a beloved furry friend who enjoys being the darling of the house.

His new parents decided to change his name, now his name is Asher , he spends his days playing with his feline little brother who has become his best friend and accomplice in mischief. We are happy to know that this beautiful puppy, now fluffy and loving, has the happy ending that he deserves.

Everyone who sees the images of Eliot’s transformation even judges that they have been fooled into thinking that they are photos of another dog. But both the shelter and his new family assure that he is the same puppy, only changed thanks to love.
