Bear’s story is heartbreaking, but is thankfully headed for a happier ending.
Two weeks ago, road affluents in Cleveland, Texas spotted a canine with a huge mass on his face. He was eating cat food that had been left out on someone’s veranda. Drops of blood had been left before. This Is Houston stepped up to help and transferred him.
That dog’s name was Bear. Many days after he was captured and estimated by a platoon of veterinarian surgeons, Bear passed a hard surgery. They removed him enormous 3.5 pound excrescence. The mass turned out to be a necrotic abscess, probably the result of a recent pellet crack.
ThisIsHouston shared: “The mass will be removed, and the bullet may be removed as well but that will depend on the surgeon”. He added “Bear will lose his ear canal on the right side, but his ear flap will remain.”
He’d been shot in the neck with the entry crack to the right side of his face. The bullet traveled through his neck and came lodged on the left side. An infection from the crack caused the mass or at least part of the lump and the infection.
And as if being an unwanted slapdash for eight times, this wasn’t enough for Bear. The puppy got diagnosed with heart failure and Carcinoma. Since than he started chemotherapy. Bear has proven himself to be quite the fighter.
He’s been doing extremely well. Now he has a great appetite, he’s snappily learning to walk on a leash. He also seeks affection and loves belly aggravations. Fortunately he’s wagging his tail day by day.
Now he closes his eyes and falls asleep knowing he’s loved, on a comfy bed with a full belly. Doesn’t miss the soft robes and plush toys that he uses as a pillow. Nothing to disturb him anymore and no troubles around. Finally he can rest as long as he needs.
After those 8 years of suffering, Bear finally found peace. For as long as Bear had decided to live his life, his rescuers will support him.
