I found Mau, a dog who was about 2 years old, in a graveyard. He was so thin that he looked like a skeleton. He was also tired, thirsty, and his breathing was so weak that he was helpless on the side of the road. Many people walked by, but no one cared because they thought the boy was dead.
When I looked at Mau, I couldn’t stop the tears from coming out of my eyes. I felt sorry for his sad fate. I got Mau out of that awful place quickly.
All the vets were closed because it was a holiday, so I had to bring Mau home. I tried to feed him, but Mau didn’t want to eat. He just laid down in the corner and looked sad. Mau and I were at the Veterinary hospital at 8 a.m.
The doctor sent him right away for an MRI scan because he thought he might have a problem with his spine. The results shocked me. At that time, he was carrying two bullets, one in front of his chest and the other in the middle of his spine. They had been inside Mau’s body for a long time and would be very hard to get rid of.
All of the liver, kidney, and digestive system indices were very low, and there was no sign of infection. It was awful and painful for the people who had to live like this every day. He got better slowly while the doctor tried to figure out how to get rid of the bullet.
But Mau never got a miracle. His body stopped being able to walk completely. Even though that was very sad, the most important thing was that Mau was still there with me.
The hospital has sent our sweet, quiet, and calm boy home. The doctors didn’t want to take the bullet because they thought there would be a lot of problems with the surgery.
We didn’t do the surgery, just surveying. I took Mau home, when there he meet for the first time his dog brother. They both had a connection at the first moment they both meet. I hope by baby gets better soon.
Later, I have in mind to buy a wheelchair for Mau, so he can move freely around the house, and this will help him to gain more weight and start his dream life from the beginning.
