Pickles entered his parents’ lives when they drove four hours to rescue him from a flooded farmhouse and take him to his new home. Due to the conditions at the farm, the piglet got sick but quickly recovered and showed a cute and lovely personality that made everyone in the house fall in love.

Part of his kind and playful personality includes a deep love of dogs, especially French bulldogs. Perhaps because they are similar in appearance and size to pigs, Pickles enjoy spending time with them.

Luckily, one of his human parents’ neighbors has a French bulldog puppy and they always visit each other to play. Maddie, Pickles’ human mother, decides to surprise the pig and add a new member to the family; Maddie and her husband were apprehensive at first, but it was a pleasant surprise.

Pickles’ parents adopted a French bulldog and named him Dill.

“Dill and Pickles got along right away. They hug all the time. Dill is a very good brother of Pickles. He is very protective. He knocks out big dogs if they try to chase Pickles. It’s really sweet,” Maddie said.

Both animals do not see differences from each other, they believe they are true brothers and they show it with the affection they show each other. “I’m pretty sure Dill thought he was a pig when we brought him home. It was such a sweet surprise to see how much they really loved each other!” Maddie says.

Maddie assures that Pickles will be Dill’s example and over time he will behave just like his brother, even several times they have seen him trying to graze as Pickles does, but Dill certainly does not find grass so tasty.
