Found in a macaroni and cheese box with badly damaged hind legs they wanted to give him the chance to walk and to run again!
A paralyzed kitten, his legs were so badly twisted they needed to help him become mobile again while at the same time giving him physical therapy. So the decision was made to build him his very own wheelchair.
And what better way to build an adjustable wheelchair than by using lego blocks.
As he grows, with lego blocks its very easy to adjust the size of his wheelchair.
The question was how would he take to his new wheels?
They needn’t have worried.
The great news was that once he placed on the ground with his newly fitted wheels he just took off, he was unstoppable.
They called him Mac, short for Mac n Cheeze, named after the recycled macaroni cheese box they found him in.
“He’s starting to slowly regain some use of his legs,” said Dr. Ned Horowitz, “we took x-rays, and he’s on medication to hopefully help him. He’s eating well, he’s very playful, he’s affectionate.” He is currently being looked after by the staff at the veterinary hospital and will be put up for adoption when he’s healthy enough.
Mac has since been given his own dedicated Facebook page for fans to track his recovery, which includes swimming classes and physical therapy with tiny exercise balls, and his new forever home!
