The bond between siblings is just different. Growing up with that person and getting to know them in and out just helps create this bond that no one could easily replicate. And even though you might have your disagreements with them or even a rivalry, there is still this connection between you two that will never separate you. There will always be this instinct to protect your sibling or to make sure that no harm comes to them.

That’s just how things go for a lot of people and as it seems, that’s also how it is for a lot of animals too, especially dogs. While not all pups might develop a strong bond with their other siblings, there are some that will find a deep connection with one like the pups in our story today, Star and Denver.

The two were found among a litter of eight and while their brothers and sisters have already gone on to their forever homes, the two remain for a very special reason. One can’t go without the other, they’re a bonded pair. This is because Denver simply can’t leave his sister Star behind no matter what. Read on and find out the whole story of these very special siblings.

A couple was walking along the road in Louisiana when they stumbled upon a litter of eight pups alongside their mother. As it seems, the big family was unceremoniously dumped by some unknown person by the side of the road to fend for themselves. Fortunately, the kind-hearted couple decided to foster the entire family until they’re able to find forever homes for them.

When the pups finished nursing, they were taken in by the Helen Woodland Animal Center in San Diego who set out to find all the pups their forever homes. Star and Denver were among those eight pups but what makes them special is that they share a deep and special connection with each other.

While six of the eight puppies have now, fortunately, found their new families, Star and Denver are still looking. The siblings can only be adopted together for a very special reason. Star is unfortunately deaf and mostly blind and Denver has become his sister’s ultimate guide and protector. He won’t let Star even a minute out of his sight and he’s always making sure that she is safe.

Star also draws a lot of strength to explore the world around her from her brother’s presence and the two are completely inseparable. Just watching them explore and play together would make it obvious how special their connection is. Thanks to Denver, Star can enjoy her puppy life like any normal puppy would.

He helps her do all the “normal” activities any other dog would do like running, playing around, and exploring. Kelleher, the social media manager for the HWAC, says that Denver constantly checks up on his sister and makes sure she knows that he’s always nearby.

At the moment, the brother and sister duo are still waiting for their forever homes but judging by how lovely they both are, the shelter is sure this will happen soon. Star and Denver definitely have a bond like no other and we’re pretty sure this bond will last them an entire lifetime. That’s why it would be hard to imagine just separating these two.

Hopefully, they’ll find a family soon that will love them, take care of them, and also treasure the special bond that these two have.
