Pit Bull Dog Abandoned In Garbage Bin, Eats His Own Feces To Survive

The poor puppy in this plastic trash can was discovered on the side of the road in Columbia, Maryland.

Shockingly, the cover was removed before the photograph was taken. The motionless dog was unable to get out and was hardly breathing inside. The pit bull puppy was only ten weeks old when he was abandoned.

Jill Eberhart and her son, Thomas, noticed the large container on the side of the road and, thankfully, chose to investigate what was inside. Their reaction was terrifying when they saw the emaciated puppy curled up inside.

Jill and Thomas gave the puppy some water while they waited for animal control. The poor dog could barely swallow it. The witnesses predicted how difficult the dog would find it to intake food.

Taylor Hawkins, an animal control and also animal handler, named the puppy Eddy and took responsibility over him. He started to give Eddy appropriate meals that he could consume easily. Hawkins brought Eddy home with him every night to administer his medications.

He no longer resembles the poor creature we saw huddled in that plastic tub! Eddy loves playtime. He enjoys running all over the park and surprisingly never gets tired. The best part of Eddy’s story is that he was adopted!
