Suffering Dog Chained For 4 Years Finds Forever Home

Meet Tom, the emaciated pooch who spent the first four years of his life being chained to a tree.

His cruel Alabama, based owner, didn’t care about the dog’s health issues. Ranging from worms to mange. Poor dog was seriously underweight, less than 40 pounds at the time of his rescue.

Luckily, dog rescue groups heard about Tom and took him to an animal shelter for dog adoption in Minnesota. Overthere he met his future owner.

“I was drawn to him initially because he was one of a dozen or so dogs. He was the only one not barking, whining, or jumping around,” writes the adopter.

Tom was taken to the vet, who said that the dog had a fractured tooth. Immediately needed to undergo treatment for heartworm. After his gradual treatment he received plenty of care and love.

You won’t believe how much Tom has changed. Fairly,he should have been this healthy all the time. Today the pooch weighs almost 70 pounds. He never misses a meal.

The new parent gave all the love and care Tom needed. Eventually, he slowly made his way up into his new home. Just imagine him not getting rid of those terrible conditions of living. Miserable!

Now he is a happy dog ,always wearing a bright smile on his face and surrounded by unconditional love.
