Willians Mollo Flores had no idea he would end up saving a life.
Earlier this month, he went outside to take his dog for a stroll in the evening close to his Chilean house. But he went above and above. He prevented two.
Flores spotted his dog pulling on the leash away from them as they passed a former building site. It didn’t take Flores long to understand why. The canine was barking a lot.
However, it turned out that the dog wasn’t attempting to attract Flores’ attention solely for selfish reasons. A series of large, open, deep holes identified the area where the abandoned puppy stood. And there was another dog inside one of them.
Flores stated: “He was pleading for assistance. There was no way for his sibling to escape from the pit he was, on his own.”
The stranded dog quickly raced to his sibling after emerging safely from the hole as though to express gratitude to him for helping to save him. Flores provided food and water for the dogs, but they weren’t strong enough to follow him home.
Flores decided to stay with them there. He asked for help from others on social media throughout the course of the following four hours. Valeska Torres Tapia, an animal rescuer, found out about the predicament there.
She hurried to the scene despite the fact that it was now after midnight, taking over Flores’ position as lifeguard. When she got home, Tapia gave the dogs a bath and groomed them. She could see that they had a strong bond of loyalty there, which contributed to their rescue.
She gave them the names Salvador and Angel. Tapia thinks the dogs had been left there by the owner of a puppy mill, even though it’s unclear how they came to be left alone with one of them trapped in a hole.
It appears that they understood they could only rely on one another. They give each other hugs, look out for one another, and never let go, according to Tapia.
Only a few weeks have passed since Flores and his dog stumbled onto the desolate location where Angel and Salvador had been dumped, but they have already found a forever home. Tapia made the choice to take the pets home.
