Kim Cooling got a call about a dachshund found on the bone in Sri Lanka.
Rescuers are willing to do anything to save a furry’s life, and sometimes that means taking unexpected, high-speed trips to get there on time.
“It was a race against time. It looked like she could only survive for a day or two,” Kim’s sister explained.
A tourist had found him there and had been unable to do more than leave him some food and water. However, he contacted Kim in the hope that she would manage to save him.
Kim managed to look for him. He had to get there very quickly since the situation of the poor puppy seemed really serious. Fortunately, Kim found his location thanks to the tourist and arranged a transfer to take him to London.
The little dachshund was named Dash and had the sweetest look in the world. Kim made a 7-hour drive to save the puppy. He was there with another puppy that also needed help so they decided to take them together.
Now Dash is in London and was adopted by Kim’s sister, the furry one was so weak that he was partially paralyzed. The puppy was rescued at 7 years old. This made things as simple as walking and eating practically impossible for him.
He urgently needed help to save himself. It seemed like a very difficult case , but the beautiful Dash managed to recover. He went from being in the bones to weighing more than 8 kilos. Best of all, she got a new life with her little brother and now she spends every day doing mischief in the garden of her home.
“He is a very funny dog. He loves to destroy his toys and enjoys going on long walks” said Julia.
It is a real relief to know that they arrived in time to save these beautiful furry ones. Every effort made to save a puppy is worth it. They do nothing more than thank and give lots of kisses in return.
