A woman was walking through the streets of her hometown and quite by chance noticed that a dog looked out of the window of an abandoned house.

It was just a dog skeleton covered in skin with sad eyes.

A caring woman immediately reported what she saw to the animal protection service. Volunteers arrived at the scene, who found three emaciated dogs in the house. The pets were in terrible condition. Two of them could no longer move and could soon die. The third dog was deprived of fur but still tried to fight for its life.

The vet said he was about nine years old and had a lot of illnesses. In addition to exhaustion and scabies, Beni — this is the name the dog got — was found to have diabetes and a large tumor on his front paw.

Besides, the dog has not eaten or drunk for so long that he forgot how to do it. He could not chew, drink, and his stomach did not accept food, giving out what was swallowed back. Based on the complexity of Beni’s condition, it was decided to put him to sleep.

But one of the volunteers shared this story on social networks, and a woman named Debbie Goldsberry, the owner of the Senior Paws Sanctuary shelter, decided to try to save the dog who survived such a horror.

Soon, Beni began to drink and eat in small portions, he was put on ivs and treated for scabies. The fur began to grow, and then for the first time, he showed interest in toys and wagged his tail to his rescuers.

The dog had a tumor removed, which was on the paw. Unfortunately, it turned out to be malignant. Debbie continues Beni’s treatment and says that no matter how long he has to live, she will make sure that he lives in the most comfortable conditions.
