As human beings, we have many dreams and desires in life – all the good and pretty things make us happy, and we will try our best to achieve them. The little dog in this story proves that animals have dreams too. He had a wish that he could walk on his own.
The dog lived with his family in a village. His name is Jjomaeng, and he is a beautiful puppy. Unfortunately, he was born without legs, only using his whole body to move. Since his mother left them, his younger brother Earllook took his place in his care. And luckily, they have a lady owner who is very attentive and cares about them a lot.
She often spreads mats on the yard for Jjomaeng to exercise on. Jjomaeng tried very hard to take a few steps with his incomplete legs. Despite his disability, Jjomaeng is still a loving and active dog. He moved around the mat quickly and got his own food.
Sometimes the dogs in the house came to play with Jjomaeng and his brother, but they were a bit wild with Jjomaeng. Earllook is a good brother who always protects Jjomaeng. In the end, the dogs were sent out, and Jjomaeng was left alone. He could do nothing but helplessly watch other people hanging out, his eyes full of longing and sadness.
Every time the mistress goes to work, she takes Jjomaeng with her. The poor dog watched the others excitedly play together and wished he could join them.
He tried to crawl forward, but it took too much effort to reach them, so he had to let go. But from the bottom of his heart, he wanted to go out and explore the vast world he had never had the chance to experience. He wished he could run around like other dogs.
And his wish really came true. The kind-hearted members from Kritter Klub made him a wheelchair to help him move easier, and a bright world opened for him. The lady owner cried tears of happiness seeing the precious pup managed to walk on his own. He needed time to get used to his “new legs”, but with his strong desire, he would able to walk and play with his brother soon.
How Dogs Show Love
A dog’s love is also not something to take for granted. They show their love in the best ways. While their support may inflate your ego, it genuinely feels good to know that your pet cares about you as much as you do them.
Here are a few ways your dog shows how much they love you.
They’re Excited When You Get Home: How many times have you come home from work or the store to a dog that’s too excited for their own good? Heck, how many times have you walked out of the house for a minute only to be greeted by a dog that acts like you’ve been gone for months.
They Sleep with You: Dogs are pack animals, and they always want to nest with their leader. They want to keep tabs on you. They want to make sure you’re safe. Sleeping with you (or in their dog bed at the foot of your bed) shows that they can’t be comfortable without you.
They Snuggle Up: How many times have you given your dog a nice pet only to have them lean heavily into it? It might be their signal to pet a little harder, but it’s also a sign that they totally trust you. If you take a seat on the couch and have your dog grab a spot on your lap or if they’re right next to you, they are showing that they feel safe with you. Even if your dog gets nervous, they may lean up against you for reassurance.
They Bring You Their Favorite Toy: Your dog may just want to play, but chances are that your dog wants to share as well. Dogs really don’t have that much to physically offer you, but if they have a favorite toy that may be generous enough to share.
